OVERVIEW:
The Cromwell officially opened on May 21, 2014 and became the first Las Vegas boutique hotel on the Strip. This 188-room, luxury hotel and casino features 19 suites, a rooftop day-club/nightclub with a pool overlooking the Strip, a hotel lobby bar and lounge and a 40,000 square foot casino. The second floor is home to 260-seat restaurant by Giada De Laurentiis, simply called Giada, with incrediable views of the Bellagio fountains. Drai's After Hours, still one of the hottest after-hours clubs, can be found in the basement of the hotel.
HISTORY:
Originally built in 1979, this property was known for many years as the Barbary Coast Hotel and Casino. Over the years, the hotel and casino changed hands several times, owned by Michael Gaughan, Coast Casinos Inc., Boyd Gaming Corporation, Harrahs Entertainment and finally Caesars Entertainment. In March of 2007, the hotel was renamed for Bill Harrah, the founder of Harrah's Hotel and Casinos, and officially called Bill’s Gamblin' Hall and Saloon. After Bill's closed on February 4, 2013, the plan was to converted the property into a luxury boutique hotel with the help of the New York-based Gansevoort Hotels. The new hotel was rumored to be called The Gansevoort; however, the agreement fell through and the Gansevoort was never opened. The plan to renovate the property into a boutique hotel continued and Caesars Entertainment officially announced The Cromwell in January of 2014.
FACTS & TIDBITS:

1. You would never know that hidden in the basement of The Cromwell is one of the hottest after hour clubs in all of Las Vegas. Drai’s After Hours doesn't open until 1am, but it is the late night place to be in Vegas.

2. Each Friday and Saturday evenings, hotel guests are invited to join the General Manager for Moet and Chandon champagne in Bound.

HIDDEN TIPS:
Bound is the spohisticated lobby bar found at The Cromwell Las Vegas. The publication Variety called Bound "a hidden gem inside the lobby of Las Vegas’ boutique Cromwell hotel". BARS:
Bound at The Cromwell brings an upscale and trendy vibe to this boutique hotel. Gone are the days of Bill's Lounge where the drinks were cheap and dollar Margaritas were common place. That once fun, almost college-like party atmosphere has been replaced with a posh and elegant vibe. We miss the days of the rowdy Bill's Lounge, but the Bound at The Cromwell brings a new type of sophisticated energy to the heart of the strip.
